These days it seems as though one out of every two Toyota articles you read has something to do with the automaker going green. And Jaffarian Toyota at 600 River St. Haverhill, MA 01832 couldn't be more thrilled about it. Going green means starting at the core and working your way outward...and that's exactly what Toyota is doing.
In order to facilitate efficiency and environmental sustainability within its new Toyota vehicle offerings, Toyota has taken great measures to ensure that they are created in eco-friendly buildings. More specifically, Jaffarian Toyota is pleased to share that the automaker obtained its 29th LEED certification.
For those who might not know, LEED designations are given only to buildings that demonstrate extensive earth-saving practices and represent the most revered leaders in green technology. Doug Beebe, Corporate Manager of Administrative Services for Toyota, explains, "At Toyota, we are committed to reducing environmental impacts throughout our operations. LEED provides a framework for us to demonstrate that doing what is environmentally responsible can also be fiscally responsible."1
Latest to receive the LEED green thumb stamp of approval is the automaker's training facility in Kansas City, Missouri. A few of its key eco-friendly practices include: certified renewable energy development, efficient plumbing fixtures, rain gardens, recycled construction waste, and Forest Stewardship Council certified wood products.
To learn more about which Toyota facilities in particular have received the LEED designation and which are well on their way, feel free to stop by our Haverhill area location anytime. Also, for more general Toyota news and updates Jaffarian Toyota invites you to stay tuned.
