Jaffarian Toyota knows it would be pretty easy to just tell those of you in the Haverhill area about the remarkable sales month Toyota had in July, but we also know that numerical proof is worth a thousand words ... isn't that how the saying goes? No? Well, numbers do help substantiate our claim.
With 146,663 new Toyota models sold, the Japanese automaker saw a 26.1-percent increase from the previous year's sales as well as a 36.7-percent increase in DSR, or daily selling rate.
You're probably aware that this time last year Toyota was still recovering from the catastrophic tsunami and earthquake that ravaged Japan and led to a production halt for necessary Toyota parts. June was an especially difficult month for Toyota sales in 2011, but this year there was a noticeable rebound represented by a 60-percent sales increase. Talk about being back in the game, Toyota is certainly a survivor.
So July's increase although admittedly not as drastic, demonstrates Toyota's continued perseverance and hints at what's in store for the future.
In terms of models that contributed to July's impressive sales, the most notable would be the 2012 Toyota Camry which saw a 10.7-percent sales increase and 20-percent DSR increase, selling nearly 30,000 units. Other salable models include: the 2012 Toyota Corolla, 2012 Toyota RAV4, 2012 Toyota Tacoma and 2012 Toyota Highlander.
