Toyota Motor Manufacturing, West Virginia, Inc. (TMMWV) first opened its doors in 1996. Now, 15 years later, the plant has grown substantially. Over the course of producing roughly 8.6-million transmissions for Toyota vehicles, the plant's workforce has quadrupled, growing from roughly 250 workers to over 1,000 today.

With such a large, dedicated workforce, Toyota has a lot to be grateful for, which is why the Japanese automaker held a large celebration in honor of the plant's 15-years of solid production. However, it was the plant's workers who were ultimately the most grateful, as they opted to share roughly $100,000 in collected donations with a wide variety of local non-profits.
