While those in the Haverhill area might not be sniffing out a surf-inspired vehicle right now, we at Jaffarian Toyota think you'll appreciate the ingenuity found in the automaker's latest concept model. Earlier this month at the 2011 SEMA show, Toyota made every beach bum's dream come true with an unveiling of the Oakley Surf Tacoma.
The creative and highly unique Tacoma variant is unlike anything you've seen before. And we do mean "seen" quite literally. Take one glance at the model and your eyes won't know where to go first. Coated in sleek black paint and decorated in Oakley brand decals, the exterior design is extremely eye-catching. Then again, so are the following exterior features:
- purposefully constructed, extended roof-rack- built in shower head
- custom-access doors
- new front coilover system
- Walker Evans 17 x 8 bead lock wheels with flat black finish
- BF Goodrich 285/75-17 all-terrain tires
The surf-friendly model comes in the body of a Toyota Tacoma 4X4 and is powered by a V6 engine and TRD supercharger. With an output of 304 horsepower, the vehicle was created be a "Surfing Big Wave Assault Machine."1 Though the power and exterior design are undeniably awesome, Toyota has gone above and beyond to truly provide everything a beach-goer may need. At the end of a long day of surf and sun, Oakley Surf Tacoma drivers can relax with a built in barbeque grill, ice chest and extensive pull-out shade.
The Toyota surf-mobile won't be arriving at Jaffarian Toyota, 600 River St. Haverhill, MA 01832 anytime soon. In fact, the automaker has yet to confirm its move to production. However, we do have a complete lineup of new Toyota models that are equally innovative, not to mention a bit more well-suited to your everyday needs.
