Our nation's economic recession has negatively impacted many aspects of society. One specific example is a halt in production across the automotive landscape. While previously Toyota was no exception, Jaffarian Toyota is pleased to share that, at least for this automaker, things are now looking up. This month, a new factory in Blue Springs, Mississippi will finally begin rolling out the Toyota Corolla.
With a team of 1,200 employs this facility was created to meet the growing demand for fuel-efficient vehicles but initially saw slightly discouraging delays. However, leave it to Toyota to more than make up for its minor losses. A high projection of success is in store for the Mississippi plant. In fact, the automaker is already planning to add three-hundred employees by the end of the year and then hit a total of 2,000 team members once the facility is fully operational.
Needless to say, those in the Blue Springs area are nothing less than elated to see the production wheels turning. To celebrate Toyota Motor Corp's success, the first Corolla will roll out during an exclusive, invitation-only ceremony. Though the celebration will focus largely on this specific Toyota arm, production in Mississippi signifies a step in the right direction for the company as a whole. The Blue Springs facility is the company's eight assembly plant in North America and has received a $1.3-billion investment thus far.
If you follow Toyota as closely as we at Jaffarian Toyota do, then you know that amidst recently-faced challenges such as the tsunami in Japan, the automaker surely deserves this production victory. Despite any obstacles it may find, Toyota continues to supply us with high-performing, quality new Toyota models. If you'd like to test drive any of the models you find in our online showroom, feel free to drop by 600 River St. Haverhill, MA 01832 during our regular business hours.
