For a while now, word on the street whispered slightly somber messages of plant destruction and production halt. In the wake of March's natural disasters, automakers across the board have been cleaning up the mess in hopes of getting back on their feet as quickly as possible. Amidst this back-drop of external challenges, however, Jaffarian Toyota would like to shine extra light on some very positive news surrounding one automaker in particular.
Each and every one of our team members extends personal congratulations to Toyota on 25-years of extraordinary production in Georgetown, Kentucky! Thanks to the dedication of highly-skilled workers, the facility celebrates its silver anniversary and with it, twenty-five years of success.
Susan Whitney, a loyal team member and group leader for Body Operations, remarks, "I did not set a goal to work 25 years (at the plant) and now that I look back at all the things I've seen and been associated with, I'm really proud - It's been a great experience."1 If Whitney's statement isn't a big enough testament to her dedication then her lengthy commute certainly is; the Toyota Kentucky team member tackles a 35-minute drive twice a day.
But that kind of commitment isn't uncommon at Georgetown. The plant operates on the premise of fostering a sense of family and leadership within its own walls as well as the surrounding community. Toyota employs 6,600 family members at its Kentucky facility to be exact and every single one works hard to produce an output of 500,000 vehicles per year.
Encouraging a sense of community extends throughout all Toyota arms and legs including Jaffarian Toyota at 600 Rivers St. Haverhill, MA 01832. For this reason, we invite new Toyota lovers, long-time loyal brand consumers and everyone in between to contact us online or engage with us in person. Whether you're in the market for a new Toyota model or are simply interesting in asking a few questions, our experts are ready to help in any way they can.
